It’s that time of the year again. As June is just beginning,
the NBA Finals are just heating up. The Cleveland Cavaliers will square off
against the Golden State Warriors in a rematch of the Finals from last year.
The Warriors are looking to defend its title from last year, but can the team
survive against LeBron and the Cavs? You can bet the Cavs are looking for some bittersweet
revenge, but it’s not going to come easy. When Steph Curry and Klay Thompson
are on fire from downtown, nothing can stop them. Once they get in their groove
and get on a roll, they will not miss. It seems like when one of them is cold,
the other is on fire. That certainly was the case in the Warriors and Thunder
series. In game six, Steph struggled quite a bit from three-point range, but
not Klay. He could not miss and helped lift the Warriors over OKC. And when the third quarter came around in game
seven, that’s when Steph and Klay shot lights out. When they are both on their
game, it doesn’t take long for a team to be down by ten points. I think in
order for the Warriors to win the series, Golden State has to bring its A game
for the full 48 minutes. I think if the Warriors struggle early like they did
against OKC, it will be hard for them to catch up and the Cavs will pull away
with a win. One thing about LeBron is that he is pretty consistent and scores
20, 30, or even 40 points per game. Just look at his stats from last year’s
final. But then again, he does take a lot of shots and is the backbone for the
Cavs. Ever since LeBron went back to Cleveland, the Cavs became a championship
contender. Without a doubt, it will be a great series. My prediction is Cavs will
take the series in six, 4-2.
